About our Hypnotherapy Training

We offer three training courses, the Discover Hypnosis and NLP Course, the Diploma in Integrated Hypnotherapy. and The Hypnotherapy Masterclasses.

You need to have no previous experience of therapy to become a successful hypnotherapist. Our training courses have been designed to be relevant to those in the caring professions as well as anyone interested in the field of human potential and personal development. Our students come from all walks of life.

Course aims and philosophy

Our aim is to help raise the standards of hypnotherapy in the UK for the benefit of both clients and therapists. In our training we aim to ensure that professional standards prevail. At the same time, we provide training with an emphasis on a relaxed, informal and fun atmosphere.

We aim to provide the most comprehensive and thorough hypnotherapy training available in the U.K. The training focuses on the practical application of hypnotherapy and NLP in a therapeutic setting. We believe a practical therapy should be taught in a practical way, although you may take theoretical understanding as far as you wish.

What’s the difference between Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy?

Many people learn hypnosis - it’s something you can learn in a weekend. In fact, we teach it on our Discover Hypnosis and NLP Weekend Course - it’s relaxing and enjoyable. Hypnotherapy, on the other hand, is the practice of using hypnosis in the therapeutic setting. It means being a ‘therapist’ and requires a whole new set of skills. On our Professional Diploma course you will learn all those skills and how to apply them to fully equip you to become a professional hypnotherapist.

What is Integrated Hypnotherapy?

Integrated Hypnotherapy adopts an eclectic approach. We make a careful selection of the most useful and effective techniques in therapy today. This provides an extensive ‘tool-kit’ of varied techniques for the therapist to provide flexibility and therefore the best treatment for the client. In addition, we provide information, assistance, supervision and ongoing support to our students and graduates.

Is the Diploma Course Approved and Accredited?

The Diploma course has been examined for its professionalism, ethics, teaching standards and content by The Hypnotherapy Association, The Hypnotherapy Society and The General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. These independent professional associations have approved and accredited the course fully. Students of Isis are automatically accepted for membership to these organisations upon graduation.

What are the entry requirements?

It is required that each student has completed the ‘Discover Hypnosis and NLP Course’ or the Hypnotherapy Induction Day before commencing the Diploma in Integrated Hypnotherapy.

The Trainers and Trainers Assistants

Our trainers and assistants are all fully qualified, practising hypnotherapists and are fully committed to our continuing professional development, and keep up to date with all the latest developments in our field so that we can pass these on to our students and clients.

What about class sizes?

Class sizes are limited to allow for individual attention and maximum supervision. We boast an exceptionally high student and trainer/assistant ratio.
